Wildlife Experience

Oase is situated in the heart of the South Africa Lowveld. A region characterized by its diverse landscapes, ranging from open savannas to dense woodlands, an array of fascinating wildlife thrives.

 

Oase spans 530 hectares of pristine South African bushland, offering a unique biodiversity ranging from the lush tropical environment of the Blyde River, across natural scrublands broken by creeks nourished by natural springs, and densely wooded regions that provide a sanctuary for wildlife during the heat of the day. Oase is surrounded by other private properties, each with their own diverse wildlife. It is also conveniently located near two of the most popular entry points to the world-renowned Kruger National Park.

Together, these three environments offer guests a comprehensive African wildlife experience. At Oase, visitors can enjoy the safety and freedom of self-exploration or opt for professional guided tours. Additionally, guests can partake in game drives on neighboring properties to encounter larger animals safely, and embark on private tours into Kruger National Park. There is truly something for everyone at Oase.

Oase is an extremely safe place to explore and experience African wildlife up close and personal. With a plethora of species on the property guests are encouraged to explore the property as much as they wish. From guided game drives to self explorable biking and hiking trails the is something for everyone and for all skill levels.

Birding at Oase is exceptional all year round. Oase has 4 distinct bird habitats... from the riverine area along the banks of the Blyde River to dense scrub providing permanent homes and temporary feeding grounds for migratory birds, more than 160 species have been found on Oase. On game drive, guests can expect to experience larger wildlife such as Elephant, Lion, Rhino and Buffalo among others. The safety of the game viewing vehicle allows guests to get closer to these animals than would be possible on foot.

Kruger National Park covers 19,485 km² (7,523 square miles) and is an exceptional place for viewing a wide range of wildlife from herds of 100+ Elephants and white lions, right down to an Elephant Shrew.

Starting in December 2024, Oase will also be offering guests shared full day Kruger National Park game drives included in the daily rate.

Oase also offers guests full day private tours into the world famous Kruger National Park.
